The big high all day yesterday ended when I made myself go to bed at 11 so I could get up at 6:30 for my pills at 7. It was the first day of this treatment that I wasn’t worn out by evening.
Woke up to a sluggish body and headache – but a new interior landscape. The minor side-effects I’m experiencing are going to be with me as the drugs roust the virus. I’m back in my normal ‘head.’ It’s a different world today.
Laid about most of the day but did take a 40 minute walk, de-cluttered the living room and prepared to begin my book work tomorrow. Shopped at Whole Foods; made a souffle with roasted vegetables.
Yummy – bought some calves and chicken livers to keep anemia at bay, my next challenge. I get blood tests every Tuesday to check the red blood cell count; every 30 days to check the viral load. See the doctor after that test.
Loafed on the sofa. Watched Diana Rigg mystery movie and the last of The Guardian episodes. Read “Bird by Bird” in the sun on the front porch. Meditated (big fan of Transcendental Meditation. My mind still jumps all over but if I don’t do it twice a day I notice an interior uneasiness begin to creep back in. I’m just calmer overall when I meditate. Oprah Winfrey is a recent convert–see this article about her visit to Fairfield, Iowa: Oprah Loves TM
I will post again when something different in the sequence of the treatment occurs. Seems like I’m very, very good now – made it through the initiation! Thank you for your comments and phone calls and emails. I’m happy to be here, now.
